3 Wave Turbines Planned For Maui Waters “Waves near the surfing area known as Jaws, just off Pauwela Point on Maui’s northern coast, would be used to generate enough electricity to power about 1,600 homes on the Valley Isle.”
Global Wind Energy Capacity Increases 27% In 2007 “The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) announced in mid-January that the global installed wind energy capacity exceeded 94 gigawatts (GW) in 2007.”
RWE Enters Renewables “Germany-based power major RWE announced a new renewable energy branch. RWE Innogy has started operations with around 1,500 megawatts of generation capacity and approximately 600 employees.”
