BMW Launches Hydrogen Powered Sedan “The Hydrogen 7 is a bi-fuel car which can run on either hydrogen or petrol. In hydrogen mode it emits water vapour instead of carbon dioxide and does not consume any petrol.”
More Bad News For Ethanol “Another brick in the wall against ethanol. Academics tasked with plotting California’s transition to a low-carbon fuel have delivered more bad news: Ethanol appears to come with a higher greenhouse-gas price tag than previously thought.”
DOE Offers $30 Million for Developing Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles “DOE announced on January 17 that it is offering $30 million over the next three years for companies to design and build plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) and then test them in fleets located in geographically diverse areas.”
PG&E looking for more biomethane “The California utility wants to build a demonstration plant that can produce significant amounts of the renewable natural gas.”
