FERC issues first license for hydrokinetic energy project “The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) today for the first time issued a license for a hydrokinetic energy project, which will be located in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Washington State.”
Nano Flakes promise greater solar energy efficiency “The inefficiency of solar cells in converting the sun’s rays into electricity is a key contributor to the high costs of solar energy.”
Emissions trading hits record high “Carbon-emission trading experienced a landmark year in 2007, with trading volumes and innovation of derivatives products reaching record highs.”
New York City Orders 850 Hybrid Buses, Switches to Hybrid Cabs “The streets of New York City will soon feature many more hybrid vehicles, as the city’s buses and taxis shift to the fuel-saving technology. On December 17th, Orion Bus announced that the city has ordered 850 diesel-electric hybrid transit buses for use by the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) Bus Company and MTA New York City Transit.”
